Hi everyone! Welcome to day two of my week of Growing in Unity with the Unity Stamp Company. Thank you so much for following along with me. Today I'm still having fun with my AngieGirls by Angie Blom. I decided to make two cards using this one sweet stamp set. I colored my first card using Kuretake real brush watercolor markers. My second card was colored using Faber-Castell's Gelatos.
I think girls like Cierra Girl are pretty typical these days, gazing into her cell phone, snapping photos of anything and everything to share on social media or with her friends. Finding someone to share these cards with won't be hard at all because most of my friends can relate, especially those with teenagers.
Stamps: Cierra Girl (Unity Stamp Company), Yay Stripes! (Catherine Pooler Designs).
Ink: Party Dress (Catherine Pooler Designs), onyx black (Versafine), Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush markers.
Paper: Brisol watercolor (Canson), Premium White Cardstock (Catherine Pooler Designs).
Accessories: Smiling Fri-Dies (CAS-ual Fridays), bakers twine, gold glitter pen (Gellyroll).
Look at my Cierra Girl, her pretty pink phone coordinating with her manicure!
Using strips of black and white paper I made an inlaid striped background for my Cierra girl #2.
Stamps: CierraGirl (Unity Stamp Company), Mon Ami (CAS-ual Fridays).
Ink: onyx black (Versafine), Gelatos (Faber-Castell).
Paper: watercolor 140 lb (Canson), black (Simon Says Stamp), Premium White Cardstock (Catherine Pooler Designs).
Accessories: gold glitter pen (Gellyroll), clear sequins, dimensional tape (3M).
Gelatos work great as watercolors.
Cierra may have a relaxed style but she still likes her bling!
I hope you'll follow along with me the rest of the week because I
have some more fun cards to share with you. Be sure to leave a comment each day because I'll be selecting two winners when the week is over. Each winner will receive a package of 25 random stamps from Unity Stamp Company!
Don't forget to stop by and see Gail! She's posting another GIU creation and is also giving away two prizes from Unity Stamp Company!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I'll see you tomorrow for another day of Growing in Unity.
Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteI loved be the graphic essence of this card. The back ground is so bold, but it doesn't drown out Cierra. Great job!
ReplyDeletelove these images and the bold colouring- perfect for a teenager, young adult or young at heart!!!! great job
ReplyDeleteAwesome inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Julia
Can't decide which I like more! Both are fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, like how you changed the background to create a different appearance. Great creativity. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! I love what you did with Cierra Girl!!! The coloring is wonderful on both cards! Your twine and double bow looks awesome on the first card and I love the pink!!! You did a fabulous job! I am off to visit Gail now!

ReplyDeleteLike the use of gelatos.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards. Can't decide which one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Two fabulous cards! I love the stamp you used... and the card designs are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLove these cards!
ReplyDeleteI love the bold black and white stripes but I think the hot pink version is my favourite. Lovely image and very cool cards. Hugz
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteBoth are great cards and I love the attention to details like the "S" in the smile winding around the twine and the sparkle on the bracelet.
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is just amazing, but I knew that yesterday! These are stunning. But I've got to tell you, those bold black and white stripes are so dramatic a punch behind the beautiful gelato colors you used on the second card. Wow!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are just lovely! Adore the bling and the manicure. :-)
ReplyDeleteGiiiiiiirllll you sure know how to rock those bold stripes! Both of these designs are chic and fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI just love this girl. Your cards are both amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove all the details in this one... great lookin card! ♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteLove these cards! Both of the mediums you used gave such wonderful results. I like the gelatos coloring the most. I have the stamp but haven't used it yet. I'm inspired now!
ReplyDeleteThank you Gina. It really is a cute stamp, what are you waiting for girl?! ;)
DeleteThese are both wonderfully coloured with different mediums giving awesome effects. The icing on the cake is the bling effect on the bracelet - it's fab!
ReplyDeleteI like your style.
ReplyDeleteWonderful job! I love the bright pink color!
ReplyDeleteThese are two wonderful cards! Love the stripes and your coloring! I have never used gelatos or owned Cierra girl but they may have to go on my wish list. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love your pretty coloring!
ReplyDeleteI don't have Gelatos and I never would have thought that you could color something that detailed with them. Nice! I love both cards but the bold black and white one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGelatos are great for water coloring. Just scribble a little on a stamping block or craft sheet, spray a little water on it and you have instant watercolors.
DeleteI absolutely love the cards you make! I need to play with my Gelatos more.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Gorgeous!!! Both creations are unique but different. They way they are put together shows individual masterpieces. Same stamp but still so different appearance. I must say that the story you give just before as and intro, you really must be good at story telling. Have you ever considered writing children's books, you would be great at it. Thank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! That's so nice of you. I usually just write like I talk....sometimes way too much! LOL!

ReplyDeleteCute cards! Once again I like the strip of pink and white striped paper. Beautiful coloring. I need to work on mine! Love the black and white stripe in the other card too! Well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coloring! Really like the striped paper accent too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love your colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coloring, my favorite is the second card...I need that set, live the words.
ReplyDeleteLove love love your card! Coloring is awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! Love what you did on both of them1
ReplyDeleteLove your colour choices, love the stamp, love the embellishments, have no Angie girl stamps, but want some now! Well done!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I just got this stamp, can't wait to use it.
ReplyDeleteAgain a beautiful card ,I like the stamps
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your soft, subtle coloring!!! Simple gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love seeing Cierra inked up.
ReplyDeleteSucha a beautiful card. Love the bright colors. Thank you for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteGelatos! I had those once and never quite figured them out. But that turned out so well I may have to reconsider them again. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteYour coloring and detail work is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing to me how you have some of the same elements in each card, yet they are so different! It tickles me that Cierra Girl's phone and nails coordinate!
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is amazing and so are your cards! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so fresh & pretty! I just bought some gelatos but haven't played with them yet. Do you have to heat set the gelato after coloring?
ReplyDeleteI didn't heat set AnneMarie and it turned out fine. I used them just like watercolor paints.
DeleteOk seriously love your style! and your detail down to Cierra's jewelry! Can't wait to get her!
ReplyDeleteBoth girls r fantabulous
ReplyDeleteCute card. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI have never worked with gelatos. I'm slowly getting the urge to watercolor. I'm usually a "in the box" type of girl. Maybe I'll just break out the watercolors and go for it.
