Spring Fling Release Blog Hop - Catherine Pooler Designs

Hi everyone and welcome to the Spring Fling Release Blog Hop with

I made three cards for you today using these beautiful inks and the new stamps and dies.

My first card is a Mother's Day card.  I was so happy to see both "mother's day" and "father's day" sentiments included in the new Simply Stated stamp set.  Also, by repeatedly stamping this little tulip from this stamp set, I was able to  use six of the eight new inks on this card.  I used the Happy die from the Spot On Sentiments die set and blended over it with It's a Girl pink.  There are three word dies in this set but you can also purchase them individually as  
Happy, Congrats or Wishes.

Stamps:  Simply Stated, Butterfly Notes (Catherine Pooler Designs).  Inks:  Bellini, It's a Girl, It's a Boy, Sweet Sixteen, Garden Party, Pixie Dust, Midnight (Catherine Pooler Designs).  Paper:  Premium White Cardstock (Catherine Pooler Designs).  Accessories:  Dotted Circle Dies, Spot on Sentiment Dies-Happy (Catherine Pooler Designs), dimensional tape (3M).

And now....my favorite little flower set EVER.....Beautiful You!  This card is my very first try using this stamp set.  I just brought out my Midnight ink and went to town trying out all florals, leaves and dots in this set.   Beautiful You is a sweet, whimsical, super simple little set of flowers,  exactly what I needed in my stash!  I filled them in with some water coloring using the purple shades of the Party Collection.

Stamps:  Beautiful You (Catherine Pooler Designs).  Ink:  Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, Garden Party, Flirty Fuchsia, Grass Skirt, Midnight (Catherine Pooler Designs).  Paper:  Bristol watercolor (Strathmore), Premium White Cardstock (Catherine Pooler Designs).  Accessories:  Circles dies (Catherine Pooler Designs), dimensional tape (3M), clear sequins, twine.


You really don't have to be a pro at coloring to use these flowers (whew! thank goodness!)  In fact, I came to the conclusion that simple coloring is best for me.

See what I mean by sweet??  I am seriously in love with the Beautiful You stamp set!  Here I did some stamping by pairing up some of the new colors with the originals in the Party Collection.  I used the darker colors to stamp the outlines of these flowers and then went in with the new lighter colors to watercolor.  I kept the water coloring simple and didn't worry about shading. It made this card super quick and easy to create.  What about that awesome, bold sentiment?  That is from the Simply Stated stamp set.  I just stamped it in Midnight ink and cut it out right along the thick black frame.  I used some dimensional tape to pop it up.  Check out those Yay Stripes! at the bottom for the perfect It's a Girl pink!!
