Into the woods with Catherine Pooler's Wild About You stamp set.

Hey friends!  I'm stopping by today to share another cool masculine card using the awesome

I'm totally hooked on making woodsy scenes with that awesome bear using the following tips:

To create the circle embellishment on this card:
  • I diecut a small circle from vellum cardstock using Catherine Pooler's Circles dies.
  • I wrapped some natural white hemp cord in a circle and glued to the vellum circle.
  • Then I stamped and diecut the arrows and a paw print from the Wild About You stamp set and added them to the center of the circle using dimensional tape.
  • I finished this card by layering the stamped panel onto a Sage ink blended panel cut from the largest Postage Stamp die along with a strip of patterned plaid paper coming from Catherine Pooler's  Lumberjack paper pad onto a white A2 size card base.

Accessories:  natural white hemp cord

Thanks so much for stopping by.     Have a beautiful day!!

Catherine Pooler Storybook Collection Bloghop

Hello and welcome to this bloghop and giveaway featuring

This collection was released yesterday so you can click on any of the links here today and head on over to the Catherine Pooler Designs shop any time to check out what's new.

This is a huge release with a lot of bundle choices.  Catherine and her team tried to make sure there was something for everyone.

You also have the option to purchase every item individually so you can make up your own package of goodies!

Don't forget those new inks!  Catherine Pooler has also added four new ink colors to her line:

Meet the newest colors in the

Today I'm working with the

I chose this bundle because, like a lot of card makers, I desperately needed to add some masculine stamps to my stash.  With a family filled with nephews, brothers and brother-in-laws, I find that I really struggle with making those "guy" cards.  I admit, I enjoy water coloring flowers and playing with glitter a little too much but my guys need cards too.  So let's take a look at what this Father's Day Bundle can do.

First.....I must pay homage to that fabulous Buffalo Plaid Background stamp!!  My absolute favorite!!!  My first card sports a whole background stamped in the new Queen for a Day ink.  That gorgeous ink is actually a really deep purple with blue tones.  It looks almost navy here next to the black cardstock.

I did some simple stamping and die cutting of the animal figures from the Wild About You set, cut out a circle, then added a black border along with a Midnight black sentiment from the new Hey Mister stamp set.

Accessories:   Circles Dies (Catherine Pooler Designs).   twine, gold Gellyroll glitter pen.

Using my T-square ruler I added thin stripes of glitter pen to the plaid background for a little extra pop.  Even masculine cards can shine!

For my next card I put those new ink colors to the test by blending a background on some of
Catherine Pooler Design's Premium White Cardstock.  I started at the top with Queen for a Day then blended it into Rouge, then Lemongrass.  The Rouge and Lemongrass blended together to create a pretty shade of orange.  I threw on a splash of water to lift some of the ink for a starry effect.

To create the silhouette strips across the bottom, I did some partial die cutting on Midnight cardstock using the trees and wolf dies from the Wild About You coordinating die set.  It's great to be able to use these dies on their own for a completely different look.

I topped this card off with some of Catherine Pooler's new Motor City Sequin Mix.

Finally, I did some really simple stamping and die cutting to create a little woodsy scene with that fabulous Wild About You set.  Seriously, living up here by Chicago, we're in Bear country and I know this little bear is going to get a good workout.   He's so cute!!!  And yea....paw prints are adorable!  That gorgeous plaid is from the 6x6"  Lumberjack Patterned Paper pack.

Let me just point out.....this sweet little bent arrow.  Too cute!!

Catherine Pooler Tropical Treasures Release

Hi everyone, it's time to hop, hop, hop!!

Catherine Pooler Designs brand new Tropical Treasures Release deputed in the shop on Wednesday and is available NOW!!  You can click on any of the links here today and they will take you straight to the shop for a closer look at these fabulous new goodies!

I love how Catherine Pooler is now offering these products in coordinating bundle sets but then is also giving you the option of buying each item separately if that's what suits you.

My first three cards are featuring products from the

which includes:

I chose this bundle to work with because I absolutely fell in love with the adorable little birds in the Toucan Do It stamp set.  A toucan, a cockatoo and a parrot with the sweetest little faces!  They are super fun and easy to color.  I also really loved the Wild Thing Background stamp with all the whimsical little polka dots.  And the To The Point Cover Plate is ah-mazing!!

On my first card I heat embossed the Wild Thing Background in white and did some ink blending for a tropical sunset look.  For the wreath I just stamped all the little leaves and flowers in the Toucan Do It stamp set in black, onto white cardstock and then fussy cut around the edges.

My second card features the toucan's buddies, a parrot and a cockatoo.   I owned an eclectus parrot named Mango for many years and this little green guy reminds me so much of him.  First I did some blue ink blending on the base of this card.  Then cut out two circles from the top card panel to give each of these little tweeties their own spotlight.

Card number 3 features the gorgeous To The Point Cover Plate die!  Wow!  This is one amazing die!  I've seen so many amazing things done with this die already by the creative team.  Here I did some ombre ink blending on the card base.   Then I ink blended another piece of cardstock the same way.  I cut it using the To The Point Cover Plate die and then flipped it upside down before adhering it to the blended card front.

Catherine Pooler is also releasing a gorgeous new

which includes:

Here I used some of the beautiful Spring in Bloom Patterned Paper for a background.  This paper was made to coordinate with Catherine Pooler Ink colors.  I colored the flowers from the One in a Million Mom Floral stamps with Tiara yellow and It's a Girl pink.  The pinks in the flower and the background are a perfect match!  Just a note;  To color with Catherine Pooler inks, all you need is a blender pen so be sure to check them out in her store too!

Zooming in on this shaker card you can get a better look at the gorgeous new Springfield Sequin Mix!

You can check out a couple more of my cards using these bundles over on the Instagram Hop @lisaharrolle.

The Ton - Washi Tape Release

Hello friends!  I'd like to welcome you to a very special release and blog hop for The Ton today.  This one is a little bit different.  The Ton's own Effie Cho has designed some gorgeous new washi tape using some of her amazing watercolored florals.

Now first I should tell you, newbie here!   I have never worked with Washi Tape before so I was a little bit nervous taking on this project.  But when Effie sent me these two beautiful rolls I was so excited to get started.

Introducing:

Pink Peonies

and
Wildflowers

Aren't they beautiful?  I tried to think of as many different ways as I could to use this Washi Tape on a card, let me show you a few.

Using the Wildflowers Washi Tape over white cardstock, I die cut a sentiment using The Ton's Bold General Greeting Word Plate dies.
 Also from The Ton:
Stamps: City Girls Book of Life, Basic Labels.  Dies:  City Girls Book of Life,  Bold General Greeting Word Plate, Double Stitched Rectangles Lg.  Ink: Hollywood Star, Caviar

Using a larger Heart Jigsaw Stitched die really showcases the  water coloring affect in the
 Wildflowers Washi Tape.
Also from The Ton:
Stamps: Polka Dot Cling Background, Perfect Fit Sentiments.  Dies:  Heart Jigsaw Stitched Version.  Accessories:  Rose Gold Embossing Powder

Fussy cutting the Wildflowers Washi Tape and adding them to the Pragmatic Wreath is the perfect pop of color.
Also from The Ton:
Stamps:  Pragmatic Wreaths, Delicate Polka Dot Cling Background.  Dies:  Pragmatic Wreaths.  Ink: Lofty Mint, Bright Emerald, Ocean Teal, Aspen Cocoa, Noir.  Accessories:  Rose Gold Embossing Powder, Glass Slippers Mix.

The Pink Peonies Washi Tape is a soft and elegant pattern with a touch of beautiful rose gold foiling.  Here I diecut and did a little inlaying into the Geometric Circles Coverplate die.
 Also from The Ton:
Stamps:  Brushed Hello.  Dies: Geometric Circles Coverplate, Hello Word, Double Stitched Rectangles Lg.

And my final card today is my absolute favorite!  It's a dreamy cut out pattered dress using
Wildflowers Washi Tape and The Ton's Wedding Dress stamps and dies.

Also from The Ton:
Stamps:  Wedding Dress, Thoughtful Poppies.  Dies:  Wedding Dress.   Ink: Caviar.  Accessories:  Rose Gold Embossing Powder, Amethyst Quartz Mix.

Here is just a small sample of the mountain of cards I made using some of the new items:

My next card features the gorgeous new Fresh Cut Flowers stamp and coordinating dies.  This stamp set has an adorable sketchy style with lots of little floral bouquets and this adorable flower cart.  How cute is that?

The Fresh Cut Flowers set also inspired my next card, just in a completely different way.  Aren't those little tumbling buckets adorable?
