Hi everyone. It's September! Summer is winding down and we're looking forward to the rich colors of Autumn. It's my favorite time of year and I love all the cozy aromas of pumpkin spice and the sound of crackling leaves under my feet.
To switch gears a little, we have a great fall themed mood board over at
The Ton's Challenge Blog: The Season.
You have the whole month of September to enter this challenge for a chance to
WIN a $50 gift certificate for The Ton online store.
You can click on the link to head on over and check it out any time. But first I'd like to show you a card I made for this month's challenge!

For my card the top left picture caught my eye. I'm inspired by the fallen maple leaves, the warm blanket and the steamy cup of pumpkin spiced cappuccino. Aaah, the autumn air smells wonderful!
I started out with 4.25 x 5.5" 140 lb watercolor paper and some of The Ton's brown dye inks: Aspen Cocoa, Warm Hazelnut and Found Topaz. After blotting them straight onto my craft sheet I spritzed them with water then lay down my watercolor paper. I blotted and swirled the paper in the inks until I achieved the look I was going for. I thought it looked like spilled coffee. Perfect!
Then, using The Ton's Minor Stripes Cling Background stamp I stamped another card front in Bright Emerald ink. I then diecut the striped and the coffee pieces and a piece of plain white cardstock with the Large Double Stitched Rectangle die set. This gave a clean, finished look to the card front pieces and they layered nicely onto a side folded card base. The striped panel is popped up a little higher with a layer of fun foam on the back.

I stamped and diecut a mix of leaves from The Ton's layered Autumn Foliage coordinating set. Then I arranged and adhered them onto the front of the card at an angle.
Then I stamped and diecut two cute cups of frothy coffee from The Ton's Hug in a Mug coordinating stamp and die set. The froth is stamped with Hampton White Pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. You can see from this side view that I layered three white diecut pieces to the back of each cup to give them a little added dimension.
For the sentiment I diecut The Ton's Coffee Word Die two times from dark brown cardstock and layered them for extra dimension also.
To top this card off I sprinkled some sequins from The Ton's Hot Cocoa Couture Mix and tied a pretty natural colored, double string bow.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll make some time this month to join in this fun Mood Board Challenge with us over at The Ton Blog. We love seeing all of your creations and it's so fun to see everyone's interpretation of each challenge.
Have a great day and Happy Stamping!!
