This month we have another popular mood board to inspire you. You have the whole month of October to enter this challenge as many times as you like, for a chance to WIN a $50 gift certificate for The Ton online store.
You can click on the link to head on over and check it out any time. But first I'd like to show you a card I made for this month's challenge!
Here's the mood board. Look at all of those inspirational photos. My eyes were drawn to the soft colors of the top right photo.
I made an anniversary card today starting out with a tone on tone white embossed background of little hearts using
The Ton's Mini Heart Print Cling Background stamp. I cut a frame out of this embossed piece using the (large) Double Stitched Rectangles die set. I popped the outside stitched frame up with dimensional
mounting tape and then glued the inside piece directly onto the card. This gives some nice dimension and a place for the cup to sit.
For the little cup of flowers I started out by die cutting the
cup from The Ton's Tea Party die set. I lightly blended some color with Lofty Mint dye ink.. The Watercolor Bouquet flowers were heat embossed with
white embossing powder and then watercolored with Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush markers. Then I glued the flowers to the cup.
Stamps: Watercolor Bouquet, Basic Banners, The Wave, Mini Heart Print Cling Background (The Ton).
Ink: Lofty Mint, Hampton White Pigment (The Ton), Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush Markers (Zig).
Paper: white cardstock, watercolor 140 lb
Accessories: Basic Banners coordinating dies, Tea Party Coordinating dies, Watercolor Bouquet Coordinating die, Large Double Stitched Rectangle dies (The Ton), white embossing powder, silver embossing powder (Ranger), dimensional tape, Summer Soiree Couture Mix (The Ton).
Using The Ton's Basic Banners stamp and die set and the happy anniversary sentiment from The Wave stamp set, I embossed the sentiment in silver embossing powder. I love that you can mix and match the Basic Banners set with so many of The Ton's different stamps. After gluing the banner onto the flowers I added dimensional mounting tape to the back of the flowers and cup and added it to the card front. For the sweethearts celebrating their anniversary, I added two diecut steam hearts that are included in the Tea Party die set. For a little more sparkle I adhered some pretty clear and pink sequins from The Ton's Summer Soiree Couture Mix.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll make some time this month to join in this fun Mood Board Challenge with us over at The Ton Blog. We love seeing all of your creations and it's so fun to see everyone's interpretation of each challenge.
Have a great day and Happy Stamping!!
